National School Games 2026​ Swim Team at OCBC Aquatic Centre​

​​Introduction

​The Bedok South Swim Team comprises of swimmers from diverse backgrounds and experiences who have come together to help one another achieve their personal best. The team has represented the school in the National School Games competitions since 2017 . Our swimmers’ hard work and dedication have earned them places in the finals.​

​The BDS Swimming Experience​

​Swimming is an exciting and rewarding sport that helps students build strength, endurance, and confidence in the water. Training takes place every Monday and Wednesday, with pool sessions held at Heartbeat @ Bedok and SUTD Sports Complex. Additional training is conducted in school to improve fitness and technique. In the event of wet weather or lightning, all outdoor pool sessions are converted to land training, ensuring that training continues safely without interruption. Through regular practice and dedication, swimmers develop discipline, teamwork, and resilience while enjoying the fun and challenge of the sport.

Objectives ​Of BDS Swimming CCA

• To develop character, mental and physical well-being in the swimmers​

• To provide training for students to swim competitively​

• To develop qualities of sportsmanship and leadership​

• To teach students to respect one another and work as a team.​
