Orientation Programme and CCA Fair 2024

The transition to a secondary school can be an overwhelming experience for many Secondary One students, but the experience can be made rewarding when students familiarise themselves with the rules, expectations and basic information of the school.

To assist the students in making this transition, we have organised the following:
1) Orientation Programme (Tuesday, 2 Jan 2024 to Thursday, 4 January 2024)
2) CCA Fair (Friday, 5 January 2024)

Orientation Programme

Objectives of the Orientation Programme
• To welcome our new BDSians into our BDS family
• To create new friendships and bonds with classmates and Form Teachers (FTs)
• To create a sense of belonging to the school with new environment and phase of life
• To start the development of class identity through team building programmes and activities so as to build a strong sense of belonging to the school.
• To acquaint the Sec 1 students with the school’s rules and regulations, culture and routines.

Attire for Orientation Programme
Come in full Bedok South Secondary School attire (if possible) and ensure proper grooming.
- Students who have not purchased the uniform may come in their primary school attire.
- Students who are pending to transfer out, may be in their primary school attire.

CCA Fair

Objectives of the CCA Fair:
To provide a platform for students to get to know the different CCAs in greater detail before they confirm their CCA decision.

Date:
Friday, 5 January 2024 (2.30 pm to 5.30 pm)

Attire:
Students will change to your PE attire after lunch for comfort and ease. You are strongly advised to have a water bottle with you so that you can hydrate yourself.

We welcome parents to join us for the CCA Fair. Please be seated at your child’s/ ward’s classroom by 2.15 pm for the FT engagement with parents.
